Petronella Nyamapfene (Managing Partner)

Petronella holds an LLBS degree from the University of Zimbabwe, an MSc in international relations and a Masters in Law from the same university. She was admitted into practice as a Legal Practitioner, Notary Public and Conveyancer in 2001. She is a registered Estate Administrator and Insolvency Practitioner. She is currently the Team Leader for Justice for Children Trust, Zimbabwe.

Petronella has a wealth of experience in different sectors of the legal profession. She is competent in Corporate & Commercial law, mergers & acquisitions, commercial litigation and corporate governance. She sits on various corporate, Parastatal and Non-Governmental organization boards.

She is the founder of the Justice for Children Trust, an organization whose goal is for the protection of children’s rights and to support children as they go through the justice system as children in conflict with the law. As such she has experience in the civic society sector. She has been involved in the shaping of policies and best practices related to the entrenchment, enforcement and advocacy of children’s rights.

Furthermore, her work in academia as a lecturer of International Law and Relations at the University of Zimbabwe is a restatement to her capabilities. Through advocacy and research, Petronella has contributed to the legal jurisprudence in Zimbabwe and helped shape the legal environment, reform and policy implementation by relevant stake holders. Petronella is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors Zimbabwe. A member of the Board of Media Monitors and Health Watch Zimbabwe. She previously sat on the boards of Africa Community Publishers, Zimbabwe Civic Education Trust and the Anti Domestic Violence Council.
