Doreen Vimbai Gapare (Consultant Legal Practitioner)
Doreen is a registered Legal Practitioner and Conveyancer, with professional experience in corporate and commercial law, civil and criminal litigation.
Her career began in the Criminal Division of the then Attorney General’s office where she gained valuable criminal law experience as a Public Prosecutor. She ventured into private practice in 2008 and has significant skills in a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions, Estate Planning and Administration, Conveyancing and Family law.
Her practice and experience have been as varied as the clients and the industries that she has served over the years to date.
Doreen is passionate about women’s empowerment (in every sense) and development. She is a member of the Executive Committee of Women in Law Connect, an organization that is dedicated to empowering and supporting women in the legal profession. She is also a co-founder of the Vakundi Trust – a non – governmental and charitable organization formed to specifically address the ‘societal aversion’ towards gender equality through male engagement programs designed to dispel popular misconceptions of the movements towards gender parity and other gender related issues.
Doreen is the Chairperson of the Disciplinary Committee of the Premier Soccer League, a Board member of the Tose Respite Care Home and a member of the Law Society of Zimbabwe.
